Fronius International GmbH has named Otto Schuster the Global Manager for Marketing, Sales & Services. An important part of his new role is developing a global company strategy for the three Divisions-Solar Electronics, Welding Technology, and Battery Charging Systems-in the aforementioned departments.
Schuster already has 20 years of experience at Fronius, having started in the International Sales Department of the Welding Technology Division. In 1997 he took over the role of Sales Manager and was in charge of the Division's sales and marketing activities until his promotion.
Focus on situation analysis and future strategy
Schuster sees the rapidly changing market requirements for the Solar Electronics Division as a major challenge, but also a major opportunity: "The foundation for fast growth, flexibility, and internationalization was laid early on. The Division has clearly defined its goals and is pursuing a well-developed strategy with great consistency. I am proud of the Division's previous success-and I am confident of future success," said Otto Schuster.
Product innovation Fronius IG TL as a significant expansion of the product range
Schuster is thrilled about the first transformerless PV inverter from Fronius, the Fronius IG TL, which was presented for the first time at this year's Intersolar: "This product and its features are evidence of the innovating power of the Solar Electronics Division. We have received nothing but positive feedback from customers for the ongoing test series. The standard system monitoring and the ability to easily exchange data and update the inverter using a USB stick cannot be found elsewhere on the market. These features provide maximum user friendliness. The Fronius IG TL is an important milestone on our path toward becoming a full-line provider, and it once again reinforces our reputation as a quality leader."
