Die erste Kooperation der beiden Unternehmen ist die Errichtung einer PV-Aufdachanlage auf dem Aachener Technologiezentrum (TZA), das seit Juli 2011 eine Leistung von 219,3 Kilowatt erbringt. Die Photovoltaik-Anlage mit 860 Modulen wird jährlich rund 180.000 Kilowattstunden (kWh) Solarstrom in das örtliche Stromnetz einspeisen. Die Module von JinkoSolar bedecken ca. 1.500 Quadratmeter vom Dach des Technologiezentrums.
PHOTON Power AG plant, noch in diesem Jahr eine Leistung von bis zu 8 MW zu erreichen. Im Rahmen der ersten Modul-Ausschreibung der PHOTON Power AG im Februar setzte sich JinkoSolar durch und ist mit einer Lieferung kristalliner Siliziummodule von bis zu 2,84 MW der Hauptlieferant für das Projekt. Eine erste Lieferung von Solarmodulen mit einer Leistung von 515 kW ging bereits an die PHOTON Power AG.
