The need to take an industry leading role on sustainability was underlined by, the re-elected chairman of Flexible Packaging Europe (FPE), Michael Cronin when he recently addressed the annual conference of FPE.
Cronin emphasised the important role which FPE plays, responding to European Commissions demand on food contact issues for flexible packaging and its strong commitment to support the Commission driven FACET project. Furthermore he underlined how the association was actively lobbying to ensure that due recognition is accorded to the role flexible packaging plays in sustainability.
