DEGERenergie GmbH in Schopfloch has made a name for itself as a pioneer of new technological systems for the optimum use of solar energy. With its patented, sensor-controlled tracking system, DEGERtraker, with integrated DEGERconecter, increases energy yield by up to 45% in comparison with standard photovoltaic installations. The development of this patented control electronics system was the cornerstone of the company's successful economic career and it is now a futureoriented company and market leader, operating internationally with a growth rate of 330% since 1999. DEGERenergie has an established agent network throughout Europe and employs 150 people with its subcontractors; construction, planning, installation, sale and logistics are undertaken by 20 in-house staff.

A completely new departure is the development of sensor-controlled tracking systems of the type DEGERtraker 5000NT and 7000NT for the equatorial region. So that our customers there can also implement large-scale projects with the DEGERtrakers 5000NT and 7000NT, a component was developed, which allows the system to turn on its own axis infinitely. In practice this means that the sun is tracked for 182 days of the year over the northern hemisphere and for 182 days over the southern hemisphere.
When it needs to be aligned, the sophisticated DEGERconecter control system, which is used in all DEGERtrakers, always selects either the shortest and fastest distance to the sun or, when cloudy, the position with the highest intensity of the sun's rays. That way, no kWh are wasted.
At the new DEGER Service Centre in Horb, with an area of over 5,000 sqm, the company boasts industrial prefabrication with cutting edge facilities, a large-scale assembly shop, a connected logistics and transport department and an attractive management centre. The skills of qualified staff in all areas guarantee a high standard of quality, flexible just-in-time delivery and assembly of the DEGERenergie solar tracking systems. With the opening of its own sales office in Spain as long ago as 2005, the highquality provision of a promising future market in the Mediterranean has been assured.
