FAWOO Technology displays over 20 different LED lighting products, which are compatible with halogen, incandescent, fluorescent and metal halide lamps covering high and low power needs. Compared to traditional lighting, the LED models are up to 80 per cent more cost effective, and last up to eight times longer while using 90 per cent less energy. The company’s patented technology also resolves the two most prominent problems of LED lighting – overheating reducing the LED chip lifespan as well as glaring.
The brand new key product LumiDas-H is available in three versions 3W, 5W and 8W. Without changing any fixtures or converters, the different versions can replace 25W, 55W and 80W halogen lamps respectively. The stylish and elegant, flower-like LumDas-H is ideally suited to be used in museums, libraries, and any store- and showrooms as it emits almost no UV and IR light. Being incredibly light (from 36g) and sturdy it also features very low electricity consumption while being as bright as conventional halogen lights. The unique heat dissipation technology as well as the compatibility with existing halogen lamp sockets enables the safe and easy handling of the lights. Featuring a long lifecycle (30,000 to 50,000 hrs), LumiDas-H is produced in warm (3,700K) and pure (5,300K) colours. Using an AC/DC 12V power input with standard GX 5.3 or E11 base LumiDas-H comes with an efficacy of 80 lm/W. Initial pricing will start from €16 in Europe. LumiDas-H has passed the EMI test and will obtain CE marking and UL certification by the end of April.
Most FAWOO Technology’s LED products have been awarded the CE marking, meeting the essential requirements set by the relevant European Directives in terms of performance, safety and durability. The products also underwent a rigid three-month test phase in Japan before being successfully installed in Korea and Japan, for example in Japanese retail outlets and restaurants. Efficient purchasing processes help FAWOO Technology to achieve continuous economies of scale.
“We are looking forward to become an active and innovative player in the European LED market,” says Yoo Young-Ho, CEO and president of FAWOO Technology. “We have been cooperating with European companies since 2001 already and the attendance at Light + Building offers us a great chance to extend our sales and marketing network.”
During Light + Building 2008, FAWOO Technology will hold regular briefings outlining the company’s marketing strategy, European expansion and product portfolio as well as the 1017 project. The unique 1017 business model in aid to expand FAWOO Technology’s partner network is inspired by the Wikinomics concept. Further information on the 1017 project can be found at http://www.fawoo.com/agent/. The briefings are held from 4-5pm, April 9-11 at the company’s booth.
