OPEX will demonstrate its newest warehouse automation solutions ―the Infinity® automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) and the Sure Sort® X sortation system―at its Booth in Hall 5, Stand 5B27.
The most advanced solution available in goods-to-person (G2P) technology, OPEX Corporation’s Infinity AS/RS combines unparalleled storage density, configurability, and flexibility to help ecommerce clients increase productivity and throughput. It is designed to reduce labor challenges, drive order accuracy, maximize existing space, and scale to meet demand.
The system’s wireless Infinity iBOT® robotic vehicles can access all inventory and port stations, moving freely underneath and throughout the system without any wasted mechanical motion, which saves both time and cost. Each iBOT can carry up to 70 pounds.
Unlike other competitive systems, Infinity offers up to 35 percent more storage capacity, with bot paths that are up to 65 percent more efficient. This solution is ideal for multiple applications, including omni-channel distribution, store replenishment, micro-fulfillment, and ecommerce.
OPEX Corporation’s Sure Sort X represents the next level in automated order fulfillment. The most versatile and robust industrial sorting solution available, Sure Sort X is unmatched in terms of its compact footprint, performance rates, cost-effectiveness, and adaptability to meet the specific needs of each individual customer.
Applying cutting-edge technology, Sure Sort X can handle nearly 100% of customer-sortable items weighing up to 20 pounds, and sort items into a configurable array of mixed bin sizes and types, all while maintaining a consistent throughput of up to 2,100 items per hour.
The system’s iBOT delivery vehicles utilize sophisticated motion algorithms that allow them to maneuver throughout the system efficiently, with the ability to change destination in real time while in transit. These iBOTs can drive in and out of the system while Sure Sort X continues to run, ensuring the highest level of uptime and availability. In addition, Sure Sort X can operate in both chilled and ambient environments.
Also on display at the OPEX Booth will be an iBOT and tote from the company’s revolutionary new automated order retrieval system, OPEX Xtract™. Available as an add-on to Sure Sort X, Xtract quickly and efficiently retrieves completed orders in specialized totes within the Sure Sort X system and unloads the contents into the proper container without human intervention. This fully automated solution significantly saves time, space, and labor while retaining high accuracy and uptime.
