SolarTec AG acquires global licence for distribution of TELEFUNKEN solar modules
Solar*Tec AG has signed a licence contract for the brand TELEFUNKEN and henceforth acquired the global licence for the distribution of TELEFUNKEN solar modules and TELEFUNKEN PV power plants.
TELEFUNKEN is one of the oldest, best established and renowned brands in the electronics sector and in the sixties developed the first European solar cells. By means of this Know-how TELEFUNKEN paved the way for photovol¬taics technology in Europe.
Solar*Tec AG will market top efficiency monocrystalline silicon-, and thin-film modules under the TELEFUNKEN brand. Meeting the high standard of the brand the TELEFUNKEN-modules will have highest efficiencies combined with a very tight tolerance. The performance guarantee covers 25 years.
The monocrystalline modules will be produced both on Solar*Tec AG’s own production line in Aschheim as well as in Solar*Tec AG’s joint-venture com¬pany in Asia. The modules are offered with the usual certifications and the TELEFUNKEN-label. Due to the allowed system voltage of 1,000 Volts they are qualified for rooftop-installations as well as for greenfield-installations.
The market release will take place during the Intersolar fair 2008 in Munich from June 12 to 14 (hall B5, booth Nr. 590). Only well experienced system partners will be assigned for the distribution of top efficiency TELEFUNKEN modules.
The construction of the first TELEFUNKEN-power plant will start already in July 2008 and will be built by Solar*Tec AG in the photovoltaics park in Ber¬lin-Adlershof. The company TELEFUNKEN was established in Berlin and now the famous brand will return to Berlin shortly.
