The Tentamus Group is pleased to welcome Dr. Hummert as the new Country Manager for the DACH region starting on October 1, 2024. With his extensive experience and long-standing expertise in the food and agricultural sectors, he will play a crucial role in advancing the Tentamus Group in the region.
Christian Hummert boasts an impressive career in the industry spanning several decades. Since 2010, he has served as Director of Agriculture and Food in the Health & Nutrition Business Line at SGS. In this role, he held operational responsibility for SGS's German businesses in the food and agricultural products sector, leveraging his extensive expertise in quality and safety standards. "I am very excited to join the Tentamus Group and take on the exciting challenge of further developing the DACH region in the coming years. My goal is to work with the team to create innovative solutions for our clients and to further expand our strong network of Tentamus" says Hummert about his new responsibilities.
From 2001 to 2010, Dr. Hummert held various senior positions, including General Manager at several Eurofins companies in Hamburg and Bremen, as well as being the founder and managing director of ASN Management GmbH.
Christian Hummert began his academic career with a degree in chemistry from Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg, before specializing in food chemistry. After completing his state examination as a food chemist, he earned his doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) at Friedrich Schiller University Jena with "magna cum laude." He was also significantly involved in establishing a new Institute of Food Chemistry at the University of Jena.
