ISES has been organising Solar Academies since 1997. This years event
will once again provide participants with the chance to experience
in-depth lectures and hands-on training about solar and low energy
building strategies and methods. The programme will also include a
technical tour to visit building examples utilizing solar and energy
efficient technologies. This is a great opportunity to learn about and
see real examples of energy efficient and solar building practices.
The 2007 Academy will take place in Solothurn, known as the finest
baroque town in Switzerland, located on the River Aare at the southern
foot of the Jura mountain range.
Robert Hastings, Dipl. Arch. SIA (Architecture, Energy & Environment
GmbH), a well-known solar architect and Task Leader of the IEA SHC Task
28 - Sustainable Solar Buildings, is the Scientific Coordinator of the
Workshop and will lead the team of international expert speakers and
mentors.
Attention students - this year the Danube University of Krems, Austria
is offering student participants 6 ECTS academic credits!
Participation is open to senior students of architecture, engineering
and building physics (from Masters level onwards), as well as
professional architects, engineers, consultants, planners, property
managers and building scientists.
