Every summer, the promeos® team takes time to bond and recharge with some interesting and fun group activities off the usual work routines and places. This year was no exception! Despite the heat, we had a lot of fun on a joint hike to the Kreuzberg in Franconian Switzerland – thanks to DJ Volkan for the sound system on the way!

The Carbon Removal Park Baltic Sea in Grevesmühlen is a unique example in Germany of a holistic approach to CO₂ removal and green heat generation. Each year 3,200 t of CO₂ will be removed from the atmosphere, 6,600 MWh of climate-neutral heat will be generated, and 1,700 t of biochar will be produced, which can be used as a soil conditioner in agriculture, among other things.

This year, the metrology expertise network gathered once again for an exchange of experiences at the Metrology Days conference in Böblingen, Germany, held annually in October. Shortly before the end of the year, another four promeos® heatcube left our premises for our customer and partner Jagenberg Elrond GmbH and their end customer Likora. The promeos® hot air cubes are part of a printing/varnishing system supplied by Jagenberg Elrond GmbH to decor printer and finish foil manufacturer Likora GmbH, which is already under construction and will be commissioned in the first quarter of 2023.
This year - and for the sixth time - EMG Automation GmbH in Wenden, a wholly-owned subsidiary of elexis AG, once again offered holiday care for the children of its employees during the first two weeks of the summer holidays.
We are pleased to introduce an important reinforcement of our team in product management. Jens Kathol completed his exams in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Siegen, Germany, and has, in addition to theoretical expertise, a great deal of practical experience thanks to his apprenticeship and several years of work as a tool mechanic. He has now been the new product manager for strip guiding systems at EMG since the beginning of the year.
