Begrenzte Verfügbarkeit von Sophos Access Points der APX-Serie ab Ende Q1 2024 - End-of-Life absehbar

Auf Grundlage aktueller Verkaufszahlen geht Sophos davon aus, dass verbleibende Bestände der Modelle Sophos APX 120 und Sophos APX 530 im Laufe des ersten Quartals 2024 aufgebraucht sein werden. Alle anderen Sophos APX Modelle werden voraussichtlich etwas länger verfügbar sein. Aufgrund der unvorhersehbaren Natur des Wi-Fi-Verkaufs kann es vorkommen, dass ein einzelnes Modell ausverkauft ist, bevor Sophos eine offizielle Ankündigung zum Lebenszyklus machen kann.

Dann wird der Support für das Produkt eingestellt, RMA-Anfragen werden von Sophos nicht mehr bearbeitet und Konnektivität und Verwaltung in aktuellen Software-Releases wird nicht mehr garantiert. Der Weiterbetrieb von Hardware über das End-of-Life-Datum hinaus stellt somit ein erhebliches Risiko für Infrastrukturen dar und sollte vermieden werden.
